Small Miracles

I have a lot to be grateful for as I lie on our living room couch waiting for my poor husband to go find his uncomfortably pregnant wife some ice cream. It's been about a month now since we had to drive down to Denver for a special ultrasound to confirm baby boy's club feet. I've been waiting (and bracing myself) for the bill, but had yet to receive anything, and I finally remembered to call and check up on it today. So far, incredibly mundane stuff, but then came the shocker.

Someone in billing called me back and told me our balance was $0 -- our previous insurance (from Casper, which was not the best...) had somehow covered the entirety of the $1100 bill! Let me tell you right now we had NOT hit our deductible yet, and had been paying a pretty penny for the ultrasounds we had been having with our OB in Casper. This was our second "extra" ultrasound, out of state, with a fancy specialist, and somehow our insurance company decided to just cover it entirely (minus the copay we had already paid at the time of the visit). I don't understand what happened -- I'm completely flabbergasted -- but I do know that we have a lot to be grateful for. Maybe Heavenly Father decided we'd had enough to deal with between moving, uprooting our lives and preparing for an extra-special baby in a small apartment. I don't know, but I'm just immensely grateful tonight. God is good.
